Resident Artist Lynne Rey presents...

You Can Have Whatever You Want is a two person musical play about a young woman’s experiences and visions around puberty. Together performers Mercedes Matilda and Tuna Helper tell the story of Suzie’s discovery and undoing of “what it means to be a woman.”

Tuna Helper and Mercedes Matilda met at NYU’s experimental theater wing where they both studied to be questionably successful strippers and performance artists. One of their shared accomplishments is the sheer amount of time Tuna and Mercedes have committed to considering how they might make a valuable contribution to their human family. Mercedes co-produces a monthly burlesque cabaret called Hypergender at the WOW Cafe Theater and Tuna uses her brilliant mind to compose touching music.
