We are excited to announce a groundbreaking, historical performance with Creative Time we will be participating in on Friday, November 13th!!
We have been collaborating with artist Marinella Senatore and choreographers ESPZ for the School of Narrative Dance, Processional performance on the High Line to kick-off the 2015 Creative Time Summit!
Some info from Marinella Senatore re. the School of Narrative Dance: "My practice is based on public participation, open to every people, no limit of age, background and no need previous experiences. I founded in 2013 a School which is a nomadic project called "The School of Narrative Dance", so through the body, that keeps the memory of experience, stories and tales, we basically try to make a social event, aggregating, even just for the time of rehearsals and final performance, very different people, mostly not professional, that sometimes even don't know how powerful and precious is their role in making a creative work. Building new communities, even temporary ones! We try to find local energies, share skills and stories and translate them in dance, empowering people and addressing sometimes in the Parades social issues, as the Parade itself becomes a social event."
You are also welcome to participate in EBP's original gesture dance (a dance in response to sexual violence and street harassment) for our segment of the procession. This requires no group rehearsal- only you must learn the gestures on your own & be prepared to jump in to the structure at the Procession. No dance or movement experience necessary. If you are interested in dancing this piece with us, please email us at email@example.com & we will send the materials to learn!
Performance 11/13 6-7pm. Procession begins at the Gansevoort Entrance on High Line and will move up the park until 14th street.
if you will be participating with us, we will include call time in the email.

ESPZ a great duo, the choreographs ESPZ (Elisa and Nandhan), a dance collective based in Berlin – their approach to movement is according with School of Narrative Dance. They are great, really, as person and professionals and always participants are enthusiastic to work with both!
